Steven; º Does anyone know what Data Radio Modem Protocol ("DPM") is? Who owns it º and is there a public domain specification? Our company has defined a Mobile Data specification called Dataradio Multiplex Protocol, with the initials DMP. While I am aware of a DPM protocol, is it possible that you were referring to DMP? DMP is an asynchronous protocol that defined the link interface protocol for a packet netwoprk. It is primarily used for mobile data systems (which many users have implemented in fixed point systems), but will see introduction later this year in a primarily fixed point product, our upcoming INTEGRA world-class packet radio. DMP is proprietary to Dataradio radio-modems. We offer various modems both with, and without radios for deployment in both conventional and turnked radio environments. DMP can be licensed by terminal and software companies for a nominal (US$10) fee and can then be freely included in the products sold without royalty payments. The INTEGRA is going to be available for use in several software variants ranging from 'ultra-clean, low latency' 'dumb modem' mode to a fully packetised and addressable device which uses the DMP protocol as it's primary interface. What makes the INTEGRA most useful is the fact that we offer radio modules in all frequencies between 132-174, 380-512 and 900-960 MHz in both full (up to 9600 bps) and half (to 4800 bps) versions - and the radios are designed to meet ETS300 086 so that worldwide deployment in most jurisdictions may well prove to be a simple task. If you have any questions, please feel free to call or write - a visit to our web site, chosen last week as the Electricnet site pick, certainly can't hurt. regards
