What is the best CAD software for making electrical schematics? Something that has snap-to connections, wire list, Autocad .DWG compatibility, etc. Something more flexible for electrical engineers and easier to use than Autocad. Best regards

Visio Technical 4.0 has templates for many different engineering functions and is fully autocad dxf compatible. You can import and export (with some limitations) autocad files. It is very easy to learn and use. I use it to create my network diagrams.

Allen Bradley have released a product called RSWire. I dont know much about it, but there is a module to add to Autocad or a full blown package.
